Introduction
We are the eaters. We are the ants in the dirt. We are the stray animals. We are the ones who have been victimized with homelessness and unemployment in a former land of plenty. We are the ones you laugh at as you change the rules and take our food and lives while you purchase politicians. We are the ones you terrorize economically because you can.
Greed will bring a predictable result. Heed our warnings. Pay attention to history, to what has happened before. Muammar Muhammad Abu Minyar Gadaffi never thought his end could happen, but it did.
You're Not Hungry Enough ... not yet.
I am 50 years old. In my years, and my travels, I've come to realize a simple truth. The world is filled with three kinds of people. One kind is reactive and basically exists for the sake of existence. They will follow the herd, act out now and then, but on the whole are a planetary threat only because they consume and reproduce. During their careless multiplication this group generate the two other groups - people who are aware of the plight of the environment and people who want to use the environment for their own profit only.
On the pro-ecology side we find liberals, progressives, eco-freaks and wise business owners and investors. On the anti-ecology side we have regressives, conservatives (Democratic and Republican, but be honest, it's mostly Republican), corporations (for the most part) and profiteers of all stripes.
Can't Argue with the Future
You can't argue with the future. I know some people would like to try. Do you want a peek of the future? A peek into one possible Republican conservative utopian scenario? You want to see what he steady drumbeat of corporatism, of fascism, is bringing us?
Who did this, how did we let it get this far. Look to our "leaders". Weakness of the moderate and left to stand up to rapacious greed of the right, the GOP.
It's not just Republicans. All conservatives share the blame for the fall as well as Democratic politicians who steadfastly refused to do what they promised their constituents, making up excuses after excuse to hide their lack of balls and spine. They both have brought it to this, at the behest of their parasitic, multinational corporatist owners.
The destruction of the US economy is just a way to humiliate and subjugate people, to create starving conditions. Soon, out of what they will call pure human kindness, they will propose the following future for the American worker (and by that I mean man, woman, and child).
Ch 1 - To Serve Man
This is exactly what you think it is. After the fall of society, it will be time to bite back.
Wall Street Pigs and the 1% parasites are a wily bunch. How in the world do you catch them? How do you select them? We'll discuss that later. But once you get one you need to know how to treat it - these animals have spent millions on building a body fed with the richest recipes, dining experiences and sumptuous lifestyle and they deserve special care and attention. Remember how they've lived - only they deserve what they've got, they've worked hard for it (mostly inheriting money and screwing others), only they deserve special attention and it wouldn't be right to dishonor them by treating them like any old pork cutlet.
Before we begin with recipes we should make sure to be up to speed at the art of selection and slaughter. With rare exceptions, you'll be working with a carcass that is probably overly fat and under-muscled. Don't worry too much about that right now, since all that fat is good for soap, lotions and candles, and can be rended for oil for use in lamps (much like whale oil). If at all possible, of course, select a leaner specimen. Sometimes you'll get a body that's trim and well developed. But don't despair if you have a Rush Limbo type.
As important as feeding your animals is having your tools ready before you begin. You don't want to search frantically for a tool when you're halfway through the job. You'll need a good knife that's suitable for sticking and gutting, a sharpening stone, scrapers for removing the hair diseased portions of skin, a hot water thermometer, a large vat for scalding, and a butcher's saw (a clean hacksaw will do). You'll also need a sturdy table or work surface to support the carcass. Of course the most important ingredient is your skill, which will increase in time.
Like any butchering task, a sharp knife is the most essential and all purpose tool you will be using. Make sure it has a heavy, stout blade that extends through the handle - nothing is worse than having your work knife break at the handle during a job. As you work don't worry if you need to pause occasionally and draw it across the sharpening stone. A razor sharp knife will make the task easier and you'll be less accident prone.
Best size is around a 200lber or so depending on height and other factors. After the fall most of the ones you'll want to catch will be of at least average girth, you will probably want to use a mechanical pulley/hoist system for hanging the carcass. This will become essential when you dip the cleaned carcass in steaming water (a necessary step, but you can bring the whole tribe into the yard to get the vat ready so it works out), as well has hanging the carcass. The meat must hang after slaughtering for at least 24 hours to allow internal body temperature to drop. If you slaughter in summer or spring, be prepared with a tub of ice. If winter or fall you can usually let the carcass hang in a protected area until ready, but beware - they attract rats and vermin like no other meat or meat product so make sure you keep some cats around. Preferably zombie cats since the live sort tend to take a nibble now and again but they do work just as well.
